A secondary school based in South Gloucestershire are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and caring community. They aim to provide a safe, supportive and challenging learning environment that inspires and empowers young people.

The Role:

  • FTC of 1 year, 32.5 hours per week - starting immediately 
  • Working with individuals or small groups under the direction of the class teacher 
  • Aid pupils with activities that support literacy, numeracy and the development of other skills 
  • Take into account student's Special Educational Needs and ensure their access to the curriculum 
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with all students 
  • Assist the teacher in lesson delivery and implementation of strategies
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have experience working with children in a voluntary or paid capacity
  • Be able to develop and maintain successful and purposeful relationships 
  • Have an understanding of how to monitor and track the progress of pupils 
  • Be able to manage a demanding workload and manage under pressure 
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students
