TA/LSAs required in Frome, starting September 2022!

Teaching assistants are required to support Primary and Secondary schools across Frome and the surrounding areas, starting September 2022.

The role of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the class Teacher in enabling students to access lesson content
  • Work in varying formats, such as 1-1 and groups, to deliver targeted intervention to identified students in need of additional support
  • Assist in any way that schools and students require, as set out by EHCPs, care plans and risk assessments
  • Stay up to date with educational research, safeguarding legislation and teaching methods to promote the development of all students 
The ideal Teaching Assistant will:
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be strong in behaviour management, supporting the Teacher in creating the best learning environments in the classroom
  • Adapt to the needs of the students and the schools you are placed in
  • Be an approachable and personable individual, creating strong connections with students 
Requirements:  
To apply and commence working with us you must meet the below criteria:  
  • An Enhanced working with children DBS or the ability to apply for one through us
  • An up to date CV showing paid employment covering the last two years  
  • Be based within Frome, or within commutable areas
  • provide a police check from countries you have lived in within the last 5 years outside of the UK 
  • Be able to show experience working with children in a coaching, tutoring, teaching or mentoring role
