Qualified DT Teacher needed for a school in South Gloucestershire

An experienced Design Technology Teacher is needed to join a vibrant and ambitious team at a Secondary School in South Gloucestershire!

An Ofsted rated 'good' secondary school based in South Gloucestershire are recruiting a Design Technology Teacher to join its ambitious team. The school are looking for a passionate teacher who is able to challenge and empower all students whilst maintaining the community ethos. This school is also part of a large multi academy trust with great ambition and who encourage the networking of staff between all of their schools.

The Role:

  • Starting in September 2022 on a 0.6 basis (days TBC)
  • Teaching a range of DT subjects across KS3 & KS4 including Art Textiles and Food
  • KS4 classes may be shared due to the position being part time
  • Setting clear targets for students’ learning and attainment, considering each student as an individual
  • Liaising closely with Senior Leadership Team, other staff members and parents 
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Be confident teaching a range DT subjects to KS3 & KS4 
  • Have strong behaviour management skills to assist in promoting the learning of all students
  • Have engineering experience (beneficial but not essential)
  • Be energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated in nature
  • Be based in South Gloucestershire or the surrounding areas 
  • Hold QTS or equivalent and a valid right to work in the UK
