Looking for a Science Technician to work in a Secondary School in Epsom

anzuk are looking for a Science Technician in Epsom from September 2022. If you are looking to make a real difference in education then reach out!


We have an exciting opportunity for a Science Technician to join the team at one of our partner schools in Epsom. You will work as part of a team of technicians servicing laboratories, preparing materials and equipment for demonstrations and practical lessons as requested by teaching staff.

The Role of a Science Technician:

  • Prepare and assemble apparatus and equipment in order to provide assistance in preparation for all activities due to take place within the school day.
  • Prepare stock chemical solutions
  • Check that classrooms / laboratories are ready for re-use by making sure that equipment is turned off and materials are stored in a safe and secure condition in accordance with relevant policies.
  • Develop new skills through training to enable new technologies to be introduced into the department leading to enhanced pupils learning within the curriculum.
  • Establish close links with other staff in the department in order to develop and share skills and expertise
  • Carry our risk assessments for technician activities, if required
  • Once experienced, provide technical support to students and experienced and trainee teachers
  • Be prepared to keep up to date with developments in practical science and changes in health & safety regulations

  • Be punctual and organised
  • Be flexible and available for work (5 days a week)
  • Build rapport with students and staff easily, cultivating a community with strong core values
