Exciting Opportunity for a Maths Teacher near Bristol

Ofsted 'good' rated Secondary School located on the outskirts of Bristol seeking Maths Teacher for September Start!

Due to an increase in students for September 2022, an Ofsted rated 'good' Secondary School on the outskirts of Bristol have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Maths Teacher to join a supportive and successful team. This department consists of eight specialists, who place emphasis on developing each student's confidence in order to expand their mathematical skills. They are eager to find a passionate teacher who can bring their own teaching styles and contribute to the work of the whole team. 

The Role:

  • September 2022, on a permanent contract 
  • Plan and deliver structured lessons identifying strategies that promote good progress 
  • Modify practices to adapt to and support students with additional needs 
  • Participate in the assessment, recording and reporting of students development 
  • TLR allowance is available if specific improvement activities are undertaken
  • Comply with confidentiality and safeguarding procedures 
  • Attend meetings and training development 
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Demonstrate very good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Be confident teaching students across the KS3 & KS4 and ability range
  • Be willing to work collaboratively with the team and wider school community
  • Inspire, motivate and challenge all students to achieve 
  • Hold the appropriate degree, UK QTS or equivalent and a valid right to work in the UK
  • NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply as the school offers a high level of support
