1:1 Teaching assistant needed for Newport Primary school

anzuk education is currently looking for an experienced and resilient Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child with complex needs asap.
About the school:
The school is a mainstream primary school based in Newport and is easily accessible via vehicle or public transport.
About the role:
The role is to support a year 4 child who is educated in mainstream but has severe complex needs and requires 1:1 support. This opportunity is full time/long term until the end of the child's academic year.
Due to the child's needs previous experience with 1:1 and ALN/behavioural needs is required
Please note: The student needs time to build a relationship with their 1:1 so it is essential that the successful candidate is committed, assertive and understanding of this.
To apply and commence working with us you must meet the below criteria:
- Possess an Enhanced Child DBS with an update service subscription, or demonstrate the willingness to apply for one through anzuk.
- Possess an updated CV, outlining paid employment covering the last two years - any gaps in employment must be accounted for.
- Be based in Newport, or surrounding areas, and able to provide a valid police check from countries you have lived in for 12 months or more (outside of the UK) within the last 10 years.
1:1 Teaching assistants often receive daily rates ranging from £75 - £80 per day, dependent upon previous experience. Higher rates of pay can be considered for high-performing candidates
