121 Teaching Assistant

A secondary aged student is looking for a 121 to help with their integration into a new specialist school. The student is due to start and is waiting for his 121 before being able to do so. The student will need a full time 121 Teaching Assistant to assist them with their learning, inclusion and communication.

The School:

Ofsted rated "Good" Specialist School based in South Gloucestershire who promote inclusivity and follow an ethos endorsing high structure low arousal learning techniques. All students will have an EHCP for additional needs including MLD, PMLD and SLD. The school also holds specialist status for  communication and interaction. 

The Role:

  • Assisting 121 with a secondary aged student with ASC, SLCN and Sensory needs
  • Working with other members of the team to ensure student integration and learning 
  • Some personal care would be required, additional training will be provided by the school 
  • Promoting inclusivity across the class and school
  • Adhering to safeguarding and other school polices
The Ideal Educator:
  • Experience working in a childcare setting
  • Experience with special needs is beneficial but not essential 
  • Be prepared to apply for a DBS if you do not already have one registered to the update service 
  • Be available for a registration appointment within the next few weeks and be readily available to start shortly thereafter
  • Be reliable and punctual 
This role will initially be through anzuk and a full registration will be required, including referencing for most recent employment. Failure to provide the relevant information will mean we will not be able to clear you for work in a timely manner.

There maybe the option for this role to go onto a permanent contract with the school.
